Serene was only 4 months old when we did her movement profile, making her the youngest we ever coded. Her mother joined our Child Development Programme the first week Serene was born. Due to being a single mom, Serene was sent to a nursery at the age of 4 months.

It was evident that Serene was going through a great deal of stress trying to adapt to the sudden change and it only took a few days of attending nursery to turn a lively child into a quiet and depressed one. Serene would avoid giving her mother eye contact and would turn away whenever her mother approached her.

Upon completion of Serene’s profile, we advised her mother of Serene’s temperament and how to make up for lost time in helping Serene becoming her lively self again. We are happy to report Serene has finally adapted to the nursery’s environment and has reconnected with her mother.
