Akalast

Akalast joined our Child Development Project when he was 1.2 years old.  Being the only child plus born during the Covid years, Akalast did not get many opportunities to socialise.  We did his profile a month later, which provided insights into his needs and how to respond to him.

Akalast started pre-school at 1.6 years old and struggled the first week.  According to Akalast’s mom, after he has adapted to school, changes were obvious.  For example...

Before attending school, Akalast was not interested in the games his mom tried to engage with him, e.g. matching the same pictures, clownfish to clownfish cards, etc.  After attending school, one day he just went to his mom and matched a pair of pictures for her.  He also shows more interest in communicating with her.

Testimonial

Analyzing our infant's movement patterns has provided us with insights and such greater understanding of his behavior and how to adjust our approach to handling him. Behavioral cues in infant are so subtle and mysterious that to untrained eyes they are almost impossible to detect. For this, we are grateful for Dr. Alisa for her one-of-a-kind professional evaluation and counselling. Thank you for helping us put the best foot forward!
